The actual canon is a historical fiction book called Dear Companion. It is written from the point of view of Thomas' wife, covering their time together.

In all honesty, it is more accurate to the facts of his person than many other mediums, and since it is published and narrowly labeled as fiction, I manage to get away with it. Sort of.

He ended up in a game, by the skin of his teeth. Haha. I'm quite pleased.
